We warmly welcome students arriving as a part of ERASMUS
European student exchange programme. We invite you to the Library.
Students who have their "TUL Student ID" [legitymacja studencka] are already enrolled at the Library.
Your Student ID
works as a Library Card, and
authorizes you to:
- use the Computer Catalogue Ordering ["Zamów"],
ordering valid only in the Main Library, after logging in:
ID: Nr indeksu/dowodu from your student
ID
Password: numer PESEL from your student ID
- borrow 16 books for 90 daysfrom the Main and 4
branch libraries
- use Civil Engineering and Architecture Library on
its premises -
(in fact you can use all our Libraries on their
premises)
- use library computer workshops
- access the electronic
resources of TUL Library from any computer after logging in:

We invite all English language speaking students to the library orientation
classes in English - in October and
January/February there are strict
hours for groups of students, other time simply visit individually 3rd
floor, room 306 or phone 48 42 631 20 62.

COLLECTIONS
OF THE LIBRARY OF THE TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY OF ŁÓD¬
The Library of the Technical
University gathers scientific literature connected with the domains
taught
at the University, and with
the related
domains, as well as basic works of general contents. The collection
consists
of the following types of publications : books (259 thousand vol.*),
periodicals
(135,7 thousand vol.*; 584 current titles*) and special collections -
including
Polish and branch standards, patents, branch catalogues, doctoral
dissertations
(in general 244,5 thousand units*). The Library offers the access to
different
data bases and online services (mostly foreign but also Polish and
home). In 2010 there was access to about 78 700 titles of e-books
and almost 81 400 titles of full text e-journals.

The Library is pursuing the long term
project of electronic archivization of its stock. The project covers
digitization of chosen
printed series of course lectures, doctoral theses, other documents.
Digitization of some
chosen archival journals was done first. It will save our valuable
stock
items
and enable broader access to most popular lecture books. TU of Lodz
Digital Library eBiPoL
Digital Library is openly accessible and still increasing.
NEW
ACQUISITIONS
All acquired books are visible in OPAC soon after
purchase. Books acquired in 2011 (and 2010) are listed at http://bg.p.lodz.pl/nowo.htm#nabytki
(in Polish). The files are in XML language, so they can be properly
viewed in
Internet
Explorer.
