We invite you wholeheartedly to check our fiction collection at the TUL Library which is available apart from scientific and didactic one.
The above collection aims to increase your comfort and facilitate your acclimatisation as a foreign student or a member of the academic staff. It is situated on the second floor in the Main Library, from where it can be ordered and borrowed – 3 books for 30 days (number of renewals: 1).
All students and members of academic staff can choose from the following genres:
- Fantasy,

- Horror,
- Drama,
- Comic books,
- Popular science,
- Culture and customs of foreign countries,
- Non-fiction,
- Reportages,
- Travel guides,
- Manuals.
E-learning courses
here are two e-learning courses in English within the project - ‘Library training for foreign students’ and ‘Science dissemination and open science’. The aim of the courses is to improve the process of foreign students’ and staff’s services and to provide domain support for the process of education and development of science, conducted by TUL. The access to the courses is possible via WIKAMP platform . The courses are available at ‘Students area’ / ‘Courses offered by The Main Library’.
Library training for foreign students
E-learning course "Library training for foreign students" consists of rules for using resources and services offered by the TUL Library and issues useful for students such as: methods and tools for literature search.
The course has the following modules:
- Basic information about the library
- Library's website: catalog, multisearch tool
- Collections and resources
- Library facilities and services
There are two additional modules available:
- Simple and deep searching
- Research, credibility and citations
Science Dissemination and Open Science
Second course – "Science Dissemination and Open Science" is available for all interested students. It concerns issues connected to broadly acknowledged popularisation of science and open access.
The course is divided into the following modules:
Science Dissemination:
- Introduction
- Plan and strategy
- Tools and activities
Open Science:
- Introduction
- Open access publications
- Open Research Data
About the project
The program is co-financed by the European Social Fund under the Operational Program ‘Knowledge, Education and Development’, a non-competition project entitled ‘Increasing the competence of the academic staff and the institution's potential to admit people from abroad - Welcome to Poland’ implemented as part of the Measure specified in the application for co-financing of the project no. POWR.03.03.00-00-PN14/18.
