We hope that "Polish Academic Libraries in the European Union" conference will be the excellent opportunity to share ideas and points of view in the librarianship field between EU-candidate and EU-member colleagues. In order to become acquainted with different aspects of administration, management and law regulations, which we are going to face in Polish academic and scientific libraries after the European Union enlargement in May 2004, we would like to take advantage of other several presentations and discussions.
