We would like to inform you that the TUL Main Library, the Civil Engineering and Architecture Library, and the Chemical Library will be closed from December 24th to 28th and from January 1st to 6th. On December 22nd to 23rd and from December 29th to 31st, all three libraries will have modified opening hours: from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Please note that the book lending machines located on Campuses A and B will also be closed from December 22nd to January 6th. You will be able to order books through the online catalog with the option of picking them up in person at the Library. When planning your visit, please keep in mind the changes to the opening hours listed above.

We kindly inform you that from December 15 to January 6, for the organizational reasons, it will not be possible to order books to the book lending machines located in front of the Main Library (B22) and at Alchemium (A34). Pickup of previously ordered books and returns to the book lending machines will be possible until December 21. From December 22 to January 6, the book lending machines will be closed.

We would like to inform you that due to planned renovations, the second floor of our Library will be partially inaccessible to users until further notice. To access the book collection or quiet study rooms, please use the staircase in free-access area. The access to the second floor from the main staircase will be closed during this time.

The Lodz University of Technology Library would like to remind you that in January 2026, The Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) will launch an Open Access publishing program with an unlimited pool of articles. Currently, the following Open Access publishing programs are still available to authors affiliated with TUL: ACM; IOP Publishing; Science Advances; SCOAP3 (programs with an unlimited pool of articles); Springer (Last update on 22 October 2025: the pool of articles for 2025 has been increased to 1518 articles for all institutions covered by the national licence, 1085 articles have been used).

We would like to kindly inform you that as of 31.12.2024, the agreement between Lodz University of Technology and the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland, under which the University acted as a Patent Information Centre within the nationwide PATLIB network, expired; therefore the Centre formally ceased its activities
