References to sources and list of literature
References to sources and the list of literature should use a consistent style throughout the thesis. This can be Harvard style or APA style. In addition, the use of the Mendeley Reference Manager tool is recommended.
References to sources shall be inserted as a footnote and their continuous numbering shall be maintained.
A reference list should be included at the end of the thesis. It should be arranged alphabetically by author name.
We recommend that you take a look at the Bibliography tab, which provides helpful information on how to create a reference list.
Printing and binding
The thesis should be printed on both sides in A4 format. One soft-bound copy must be submitted to the Dean's Office. It should have a transparent front cover (title page visible) firmly fastened in slats. The student may also prepare an additional hardcover copy of the thesis with the Lodz University of Technology logo.
The student prepares an electronic version of the thesis and uploads it to the diploma candidate panel. The thesis can be saved in several files. The size of a single file is a maximum of 20 MB, and the total size of all files is 700 MB. The electronic version of the thesis should be submitted in an editable and uncompressed form, in one of the following formats:
- *.doc
- *.docx
- *.rtf
- *.txt
- *.odt
- *.pdf.
The files on which the main content of the work is saved must have the phrase "tresc_pracy" in their name and must not exceed a total size of 60 MB.
